CEO: Aeroflot may restart dividend payments in case of profit
ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russia's flagship airline Aeroflot will return to dividend payments if the financial state allows, CEO Sergei Aleksandrovsky said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.
"At the end of 2022, you know, we decided to pay no dividends, but our dividend policy in general has not changed. If the financial situation allows us, and the board of directors and the shareholders make the decision, the dividends will be paid," Aleksandrovsky said.
According to the executive, Aeroflot has kept the 2023 passenger traffic forecast at 43.5 million people, but the final figure can be higher.
"I see now from the dynamics that we can show a better result, and the dynamics of the first five months and early June demonstrated that it may excel our expectations in general," he said.
The group of companies had traffic of 40.7 million people in 2022.
Aeroflot will launch flights to Bali in September–November and is working on starting flights to Hong Kong, the CEO said.
